7 Ge ng Started with IP Warming Don't get nervous - there is more flexibility than you may realize. Use these ps to keep you on the path to success: 1. Start Slow • Check sender reputa on ini ally and a er every send. • Monitor reports daily and watch for any IP blocks. If you see issues, be prepared to pause, course correct and follow up as needed immediately. 2. Start Low • Stay within the volume thresholds of the major ISPs. You may want to split your list by ISP average percentage breakdowns. • Stay at the same level successfully at least 2-3 days before each volume increase. 3. Send Clean • Start Clean: Start with an ac ve list, preferably opted-in within the last 3 months. If using an inac ve list or one older than 6 months, engagement may not be as high, but the IP warming exercise can s ll be effec ve if you need the numbers – assuming this is a list you plan on using in the future as well. • Stay Clean: Most email marke ng pla orms automa cally remove bouncebacks, unsubscribes and spam complaints on your behalf. If yours does not, ensure a process is in place to receive the feedback loops (FBL) from the ISPs and remove complainers immediately.
