Why do IP addresses need to be warmed up?
How does the IP warming process happen,
in a nutshell?
ISPs monitor email data from IP addresses and will filter or block
emails that appear suspicious, unsolicited or otherwise unwanted.
New IP addresses are inherently suspicious, requiring a slow build to
demonstrate to ISPs the type, quality and content of emails being sent.
1. Establish a 4- to 6-week desirable email sending schedule.
The me frame depends primarily on the size of the list you are
ramping up to, the quality of your list, and how engaged your
audience is.
2. Ramp up; start with a low volume and gradually increase the
volume un l you reach your typical full list send size.
3. Monitor problems and react quickly if they occur. Use best
prac ces to mi gate the risk of sub-op mal delivery and avoid
problems such as deferrals, SPAM / junk filters, bulk placement,
blocking or other deliverability issues.
