5 What types of Emails should I use for IP warming? You want emails that elicit posi ve signals and avoid nega ve signals. • Posi ve Signals: Opens, Clickthrough Rates, High Click-to-Open Rates, Downloads • Nega ve Signals: Spam Complaints (Number and Percentage), Hard Bounces, Unsubscribes, Deletes without Open, Ignore To help ensure you receive posi ve signals, you need to encourage ACTION! Emails should have strong branding, clean mobile-responsive design and have one clear Call to Ac on per email. Here are some ideas for emails that work: • Welcome Emails: Although unsubscribe rates can be high in the first 30 days, Welcome Emails typically have high engagement rates, opens, and clickthroughs. Any transac onal email fits the bill for this point. Consider ways to improve your posi ve signal by offering a free download or asking users to confirm their offer. • Newsle ers: If your regular newsle er is well received, this is a great place to start. • Re-engagement Emails: This is an interes ng one because you will get a cleaner list due to unsubscribes and opt-outs. Ul mately this means a smaller, more engaged pool of subscribers – a win for your list (only people who really want your emails are receiving them) and a win for you (be er for your sender reputa on). • Product Updates: As long as these are not me-sensi ve, product updates work well for IP warming. Customers want a peek at what's coming. Make it sound exci ng, and encourage recipients to click to learn more! teg p: Don't limit yourself to this list. Anything that has tradi onally done well with opens and clickthrough rates according to your historical data is great for IP Warming!
