8 How To #3: Integrating Google Analytics with Eloqua C. Capturing UTM Parameters in Form Submissions UTM parameters are most powerful when used as a repor ng tool, however, they can also be useful within Eloqua itself when captured as part of a form submission. There are two ways to accomplish this goal: 1. Use Eloqua's URL Parameter Field Merges. Eloqua allows the crea on of Field Merges that pull values straight from the URL of a webpage. This eliminates the need for custom JavaScript to achieve the same goal. 2. Have JavaScript pull the value from the parameter into a field on the form. This may be necessary when the form is on a CMS page or when a UTM Field Merge is not available. From here click, "New" and select, "Query String" for Merge From. Give the Field Merge a name and enter an appropriate parameter name like this:
